7 Best Money-Saving Tips on Your Next Vacation

Summer na!

Filipinos love beaches especially during summer. However, many out-of-town plans turn out to be just “drawings.” Di naman natutuloy because it could get too expensive. This summer be a team vacay naman with these eight beach resort tips!

Do your research

We have listed above the best yet abotkayang beach resorts for you and your loved ones. This is because the best way to save money is to research your summer destination. How much is the entrance fee? Is there a corkage fee? Will it be more tipid if you just cook there or if you eat outside the resort? How much are the water activities?

As we all know, there will be extra fees that could come up but it is still best to have an idea of how much you can afford to spend. Read blogs, join forums and check out the reviews in the Facebook pages of the resorts to know what to expect.

Stick to your budget

Try to imagine your stay in the resort. What are the activities you will do and how much you are expecting to spend on them.

Once you get to know how much you can spend, make sure to give yourself a bit of allowance. Then stick to your spending plan.

Easier said than done, but the best way around it is to share your spending plan with the people who will go on vacation with you. If you are with your family, tell your kids that you just have a certain budget and some activities will have to be skipped if it is way beyond the budget.

Plan your meals well

While most of the beach resorts we have listed above have corkage fees, they are usually for heavy meals. If you are into money-saving, bringing some snacks will save you a lot considering that the food at the resort is usually expensive too. Snacks can keep you full especially after swimming.

Additionally, check the reviews in social media. Many are likely to comment about food and if the amount of serving is worth the price.

Another option is to choose a beach resort that lets you cook. They charge a fraction but you can surely save money if you are on a vacation with a group.

One way to have a cheaper meal is to eat outside of the resort. Check if the place has nearby stores, carinderia or fastfood.

Bring your own sport equipments

If you plan to play beach volleyball, it is best to bring your own ball. If you want to go snorkeling, you’ve got to bring your own gear. This way, you can avoid renting the resort’s sports equipment.

Bring the gang

Rooms for a group of people are cheaper than rooms for two. The more people you are with, the more people to share the expenses with.

Watch out for promos

Summer is undeniably a peak season. Prices tend to go up because many of us will be hitting the beach. But it also means a season of summer and graduation promos. Visit the beach resort websites and social media accounts to check if they have discounts and promos you can avail.

Prepare your summer essentials

Buying your lotion, sunscreen, and toiletries at home instead of the resort shop can save you so much. Resort shops are there at your convenience, therefore they charge more than the local groceries are charging for the same items.

How to Get a Vacation Loan

Going on a vacation with your loved ones is creating fun memories with them. It does not have to burn a hole in your pocket. All you need is planning, sticking with the budget, and having the most out of it.

After all, it’s not about how sassy or sosyal the beach resort is, it is about spending quality time with the dearest people in your life.

Pero if mejo bitin sa budget at ngayon lang may pagkakataon magbakasyon ng sama-sama, pwede ka naman mag-apply ng personal loan sa Cash Mart.
